At Assured Aquatics, it remains our goal to instill confidence not only in your student’s skill set, but in our care in using best practices to safely achieve lesson goals. With disease transmission an enduring consideration, it is my hope that the following policies will provide that confidence as we move forward.
1 - Recommendations regarding regular hand-washing and personal hygiene are always observed by your instructor. Per the CDC, “There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools, hot tubs or spas, or water playgrounds. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools, hot tubs or spas, and water playgrounds should inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.” (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/php/water.html ) 2 -ALL INSTRUCTIONAL TOOLS (floating/sinking toys, kick bar, instructor’s swim bag, etc.) are completely disinfected with hydrogen peroxide between lessons. Hydrogen peroxide is recommended by CDC and EPA as an effective anti-viral and anti-bacterial disinfectant. (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/organizations/cleaning- disinfection.html#How%20to%20Clean%20and%20Disinfect ) 3 - Students are asked to notify Assured Aquatics IMMEDIATELY in the event of: *Symptoms of infectious disease (fever, persistent coughing or sneezing, discolored mucous discharge, vomiting, or diarrhea) within 24 hours of scheduled lesson time. *Positive testing for infectious disease (COVID-19, flu, strep, pink-eye, etc.) within 24 hours of scheduled lesson time. In these cases, swim lessons will be suspended and rescheduled upon the end of a 7-day period in order to prevent potential spread to other students. There will be no additional cost for this accommodation, and all effort will be made to reschedule at a time that works best for the student.
BONUS: THE CDC SAYS THAT SUNSHINE AND EXERCISE HELP TO BOOST OUR IMMUNE SYSTEMS, TOO!
